Elderly man dies after road accident
21/08/2006 - 08:19:42A man in his 80s died after being struck by a car as he walked along a road in Co Monaghan, gardaí said today.
The accident happened at around 9.30pm yesterday at Mullabryan, near Emyvale.
The pensioner was rushed to Monaghan General Hospital but died a short while later.
Gardaí said they were investigating the circumstances of the accident.
