Douglas, Willis and Kidman unite against terrorism

18/08/2006 - 11:42:35
Hollywood stars Michael Douglas, Bruce Willis and Nicole Kidman have united in the fight against terrorism, after taking out a full-page advertisement in the Los Angeles Times condemning violent extremists.

The foursome's signatures appeared yesterday alongside fellow actors and directors Danny DeVitto, Dennis Hopper, Sylvester Stallone, Don Johnson and James Woods among others.

The advertisement reads: "We the undersigned are pained and devastated by the civilian casualties in Israel and Lebanon caused by terrorist actions initiated by terrorist organisations such as Hezbollah and Hamas.

"If we do not succeed in stopping terrorism around the world, chaos will rule and innocent people will continue to die. We need to support democratic societies and stop terrorism at all costs."
