Ryanair my sue British govt over anti-terror restrictions
18/08/2006 - 08:18:38Ryanair is considering suing the British government over the disruption caused by last week's anti-terrorism operation.
The airline is understood to be considering the possibility of seeking £300m in compensation under transport legislation.
British Airways and EasyJet have also suggested that they may take legal action to recover some of their losses.
Ryanair chief executive Michael O'Leary has been strongly critical of the stringent security measures imposed on airlines in response to last week's terror alert.
He has questioned why all liquids are being banned from aircraft and not from other forms of transport such as the London Underground.
