Man recovering after gang attack

A man in his 20s was today recovering after he was attacked by a gang in the North.

The 25-year-old was assaulted in Ballymena by five men on the Larne Link Road at the Ballykeel Roundabout at around 6pm yesterday.

He was treated in hospital for swelling, cuts and bruises to the head and hands.

Police were trying to trace a silver Ford Focus car with a rear spoiler.

They appealed for witnesses to the assault or anyone who may have seen the vehicle in Ballymena to contact detectives in the town.
