Israel to hand over positions to Lebanese Army
15/08/2006 - 07:57:10Israel plans to begin relinquishing captured positions and handing them over to the Lebanese Army tomorrow, army officials have confirmed.
The military hopes to complete the evacuation of its forces from Lebanon by next week, ending the military operation against Hezbollah guerrillas that began on July 12.
The Israeli Army said it had already begun thinning out its forces in Lebanon with the departure of a small number of troops.
