O’Leary lashes out at British anti-terror restrictions
15/08/2006 - 10:21:36Ryanair boss Michael O'Leary is lashing out at the British airport authorities over the security measures imposed following last week's anti-terrorist operation.
The Irish airline has been forced to cancel many of its flights in the past week due to the tightening of security following the alleged plot to bomb transatlantic airliners.
Mr O'Leary says its operations are being paralysed by 'nonsensical restrictions' that have banned passengers from bringing liquids on board all aircraft leaving Britain.
He is also questioning the on-going need for the week-old restrictions, saying they are not being imposed on other potential targets like the London Underground.
