James asks to leave Man City
10/08/2006 - 09:22:35Manchester City boss Stuart Pearce has confirmed that England goalkeeper David James has asked to leave the club.
Cash-rich Portsmouth have already lodged a bid for the 36-year-old, but as yet the Fratton Park outfit have yet to meet City’s valuation.
However, James, whose fiancée lives in the south of England, has told Pearce he would like to go.
