Ankle worry for Kerry star Sheehan
Bryan Sheehan, Kerry's top scorer in the championship so far, may have fractured his ankle in a club game last night.
The Caherciveen youngster was playing for South Kerry in a county U21 semi-final against St Brendan's when he sustained the injury. Brendan's ran out 4-10 to 0-14 winners in Beaufort.
A first-half collision saw the 21-year-old come off the worst. He was stretchered off and Kerry officials are now sweating on a medical update.
Sheehan may have been missing from Jack O'Connor's starting line-up for last weekend's All-Ireland quarter-final win over Armagh, but he has been, nonetheless, a vital cog in their season to date.
He has scored 0-25 for the Kingdom so far this summer, and his value as a pinpoint free-taker is widely acknowledged.
Kerry face Munster champions Cork in a mouth-watering All-Ireland semi-final on Sunday week.
