A gritty and engrossing story of a family caught up in a South America civil war, a film based on real-life events.
The daily brutality and fear, the constant grind of staying alive and together, are all handled with compassionate care and attention to detail and the young members of an excellent cast emerge as the great strength of a film well worth catching.
