Sting's New York home 'up for sale'
09/08/2006 - 15:52:55Sting and his wife Trudie Styler are reportedly trying to sell their swanky New York home for €18.5m.
The singer bought the four-bedroom, four-bathroom pre-war duplex apartment near Central Park in 1989 from Billy Joel and his then-wife, model Christie Brinkley.
The New York Post said the couple are now paying $30m (€23.3m) for a new home nearby, which is still being built.
It is said to be a 5,500-square-foot penthouse with five bedrooms looking out on to the famous park.
The former Police frontman’s home will be a few floors above actor Denzel Washington’s.
