Local businessman killed in glider crash near Kilkenny
08/08/2006 - 07:30:33A well-known businessman has died in a light aircraft crash near an airfield just outside Kilkenny city.
Martin Mulhall, who was in his 70s, died when the single-seater glider he was piloting crashed around 5.30pm yesterday.
Mr Mulhall ran a bakery and a restaurant in Kilkenny, and also had a number of other business interests in the city.
Investigations into the crash are ongoing and a post mortem is due to be carried out on the businessman's body later today.
