Pipe bomb and rifle found in field in Co Dublin
04/08/2006 - 13:15:16Gardaí in north Co Dublin are investigating the discovery of a pipe bomb and a rifle in a field in north Co Dublin yesterday evening.
The discovery was made at around 5pm in the Courtlough area.
Bomb disposal experts were called to the scene to disable the bomb, which has been described as "crude but viable".
