Mobile phone firms to test new ‘home-zone’ service
04/08/2006 - 13:14:19Mobile phone users in Ireland may soon be able to make calls for landline prices from their homes.
The so-called "home-zone" service is already available in a number of countries and Irish phone firms are expected to begin testing it in September.
The service would allow people to make and receive mobile phone calls for reduced prices while in their own homes or within a certain radius of their homes.
