Greens launch proposals to help indigenous firms

The Green Party has launched proposals for the development of indigenous business in order to reduce Ireland's reliance on foreign investment.

The party believes fairer tax systems, proper banking facilities and reliable infrastructure can create a more vibrant economy for domestic enterprises.

Party spokesman Dan Boyle said the Greens also want commercial rates replaced by a site-value tax.
