Irish car prices rising faster than European average

Irish car prices are rising significantly faster rate than the EU average, according to figures released by the European Commission today.

The commission says Irish prices rose by 1.3% in the last year, compared to an average of 0.8% across the 25 EU member states.

The figures show that Denmark is the cheapest EU country in which to buy a car, while the Czech Republic is the most expensive.
