Salmonella outbreak cost Cadbury Schweppes €30m
02/08/2006 - 11:58:55The salmonella outbreak at Cadbury Schweppes has cost the company an estimated €30m.
The confectionary giant produced the estimate today after withdrawing more than a million chocolate bars in June due to the health scare.
Sales of its Turkish Delight were withdrawn in Ireland as a precaution.
The company said today that a 20% rise in its half-year profits had eased the losses caused by the outbreak.
