Tyrone star McGuigan on comeback trail
Two-time All-Ireland SFC winner Brian McGuigan is continuing his comeback from a broken leg and has targeted a return for his club Ardboe before the season is out.
The Tyrone star broke his leg in two places in a horrific injury during a league game for Ardboe at the end of April.
Three months on, the 25-year-old is hopeful of having the cage - which is attached to his left leg by eight pins - removed in two to three weeks' time.
McGuigan currently goes through a daily 90-minute gym routine under the guidance of Louis O'Connor, and could be back playing football in "a couple of months" depending on his consultant's view.
Meanwhile, Brian Mallon has returned to full training ahead of Armagh's All-Ireland SFC quarter-final against Kerry on Saturday at Croke Park (throw-in 2pm).
The Tíir Na nÓg youngster sat out last month's Ulster final win over Donegal due to an ankle injury, but could return at centre forward this weekend.
Tony McEntee is manager Joe Kernan's biggest injury worry - the Crossmaglen defender sustained a foot injury in the Ulster semi-final defeat of Fermanagh and has been struggling for fitness ever since.
