City transfer-list O'Callaghan at his request
31/07/2006 - 11:33:55Cork City have transfer-listed George O’Callaghan at his own request.
The talented 26-year-old demanded a transfer after falling out with manager Damien Richardson and, having not trained for the last four weeks, the club reluctantly agreed to his request.
O’Callaghan can join another eircom League club today before the transfer deadline shuts at midnight while he can move abroad anytime before the end of August.
Damien Richardson said today: "As you are aware, George O’Callaghan has not played or trained with Cork City for the last number of weeks despite requests on our part to do so.
"George has informed us that he doesn’t wish to play for Cork City FC anymore and he has requested that he be put on the transfer list. We have complied with his request."
