Alibi set for York
25/07/2006 - 12:04:50Best Alibi will put the Budweiser Irish Derby form to the test at York on Saturday.
Michael Stoute’s charge was a five-length third to Dylan Thomas at the Curragh after finishing a close-up sixth to Sir Percy at Epsom.
Stoute will lower his sights slightly on the Knavesmire, with the son of King’s Best set to drop to Group Two company in the Skybet York Stakes.
“He will run at York on Saturday. He seems to have come out of the Irish Derby well and he seems fine,” said the Freemason Lodge handler.
Best Alibi has won one of his seven career starts and also finished second to Septimus in the Dante Stakes at York in May.
