Blunt auctions himself off for charity
25/07/2006 - 08:50:04British singer/songwriter James Blunt is making the most of his US fame by helping to raise cash for charity on his upcoming North American tour - by auctioning himself off.
The You're Beautiful singer will offer fans the chance to meet him after shows, but for a price.
All proceeds raised from the initiative will benefit the international medical humanitarian organisation Doctors Without Borders.
Blunt personally witnessed the life-saving work of Doctors Without Borders while stationed with the British army in Kosovo, where he served as a reconnaissance officer with the NATO peace-keeping force.
Blunt's 35-city North American tour begins on October 1 in Montreal, Canada.
