SIPTU calls on USI to reinstate suspended manager

SIPTU has called on the Union of Students of Ireland (USI) to reinstate a manager it suspended last month.

USI president Colm Hamrogue has declined to comment on the situation, saying that it is under review.

However, SIPTU said the worker in question has a good employment record and his suspension was "grossly unfair".

It claims the USI has suspended him without a proper investigation into the reasons for the disciplinary action.
