Engine fire forces emergency landing of jet at Shannon
20/07/2006 - 16:43:38A corporate jet has made an emergency landing at Shannon Airport.
The twin-engine jet was carrying six people. T had left Shannon for Bangor in the United States when a flashing light in the cockpit indicated there was a fire in one engine.
The pilot shut it down and returned safely to Shannon.
No fire was discovered on board - engineers are inspecting the aircraft before allowing it to continue its journey.
