Temperatures set to exceed 30 degrees
18/07/2006 - 08:13:58Today is shaping up to be one of the hottest days of the year, with temperatures set to reach 30 degrees in some parts of the country.
Met Éireann says the highest temperatures are likely to be in the midlands, where they could exceed the 30-degree mark.
The heatwave will be followed by thundery showers on Wednesday and Thursday, but forecasters are predicting more sunshine for the weekend.
