Ryanair welcomes EU transparency proposals

18/07/2006 - 10:19:42
Ryanair has welcomed proposals by the EU Commission to make air fares more transparent.

The ISEQ-listed airline said in a statement: “All passengers who book and fly with Ryanair already receive a full breakdown of fares, taxes and charges before they are allowed to make a booking.”

The statement said that clearer breakdowns would highlight differences between Ryanair fares and the fares of its competitors, and also draw attention to high fuel surcharges.
