Timberlake film fizzles

17/07/2006 - 13:25:45
The film featuring pop superstar Justin Timberlake's acting debut is heading straight to video after receiving less-than-stellar reviews.

Edison Force, which Timberlake filmed with Oscar-winning actors Morgan Freeman and Kevin Spacey in 2004, will go direct-to-video, bypassing a theatrical release.

The film was screened at numerous film festivals last year (05), but has received bad reviews.

The Hollywood Reporter said: "The movie is a parade of cliches. A star-studded dud of a B-picture."

The Cry Me A River singer has continued to pursue his acting career and is scheduled to appear in four upcoming feature films, including Shrek The Third and crime drama Alpha Dog.
