Aniston: 'I've admired Vaughn for years'

17/07/2006 - 07:21:25
Jennifer Aniston had a crush on her boyfriend Vince Vaughn for years before the pair fell in love on the set of The Break-Up.

Aniston had found her "new squeeze" Vaughn attractive for a long time, although she stops short of confirming their romance.

Speaking on tonight's episode of British chat show Richard & Judy, Aniston says: "He's a great man and so much fun.

"He's a really good actor and a comedian. The combination of the two make him so interesting to watch. I've been a fan of his for years."

Aniston also hinted during the interview that a Friends reunion was on the cards.

The actress said she would like to reprise her role as Rachel in a Thanksgiving special.

“I do at times miss it,” she said in an interview on Channel 4’s Richard and Judy. “The only thing I can think of doing is maybe for fun doing a Thanksgiving episode. Our Thanksgiving episodes were really fun.”

The last episode of TV’s most successful sitcom aired in May 04.

Reunions have been rumoured before but Aniston was said to have been reluctant to revisit the show. It seems she may have had a change of heart after discussing the plans with co-star Courteney Cox, who played Monica.

Cox said recently: “I can see us coming back together to do something like a Thanksgiving show. Monica and Chandler would come in from the cuntry with their two kids, who are a couple of years old now.

“I think their story is continuing, even if we’re not watching. I think they see each other every Thanksgiving.”

Aniston, 37, is in London promoting her new film The Break Up, in which she stars with Vince Vaughan.

The couple are said to be an item but when asked if they were dating, she replied: “Where do you hear that?”

She would only say: “Listen, he’s a great man, he’s a great friend, he’s a great actor and so much fun.”

The actress, who divorced husband Brad Pitt last year, was reduced to tears during the interview.

Interviewer Judy Finnigan told her: “You’ve got millions and millions of people wishing you well. I have to say, I honestly don’t know of anybody that we’ve interviewed who has inspired so many of our friends and teenage children to say, ‘please tell her I love her’.”

A teary Aniston replied: “Thank you, you’ve got me all kerplunked!”

:: The full interview will be broadcast on Richard and Judy at 5pm today.
