Two cyclists injured in Kildare hit-and-run
Two women in their 20s have been injured in a hit-and-run in Co Kildare this morning.
They were cycling northbound towards Celbridge on the Clane road early this morning, when they were in collision with a vehicle.
Both girls were taken to Naas General Hospital with numerous injuries, none described as life-threatening.
The incident occurred between 6.10am and 6.20am this morning. Gardaí are appealing to anyone with any information to come forward.
“There is no description of the offending vehicle at this time,” said a garda spokesman.
“Anybody who may have witnessed the incident or who may possess information that might help establish the identity of the offending vehicle and occupant(s) should contact Celbridge Garda Station telephone 01-6271181, or the Garda Confidential Line 1800-666 111.”
