Stringfellows goes bust after less than six months

14/07/2006 - 16:57:05
Stringfellows in Dublin closed its doors for the final time this afternoon, after less than six months in business.

The controversial lap-dancing club had been targeted by protestors since it opened in February of this year.

Even from the planning stages, there was considerable opposition to the project.

Management said that this contributed to the club's demise.

In a statement issued today, they said they had taken the move to shut the doors amid ongoing protests outside the club, and that these which protests had led to some reluctance to visit the club amongst the corporate sector.
