Psychiatric nurses to get compensation offer from employers
13/07/2006 - 13:00:53Health service employers are due to present proposals to the Psychiatric Nurses Association today about compensation for assaults at work.
The nurses are demanding a proper system to adequately compensate them for both physical and psychological trauma.
The PNA says attacks on its members have increased by 50% in recent years.
It is threatening to engage in industrial action if it is not happy with the compensation deal due to be presented by employers during talks at the Labour Relations Commission today.
