Cafu to continue with Brazil
Brazil right-back Cafu will not be calling time on his international career just yet.
The AC Milan star was expected to retire from national-team duty after Brazil were dumped out of the World Cup by France at the quarter-final stage.
But the 36-year-old, who is the only man to feature in three World Cup finals, wants to continue playing for his country.
“If possible, I’d like to return to the national team, but it will depend on the new coach,” he said.
“I’ll always be ready and available because it’s always a special emotion to wear the national-team shirt.
“It’s not time to think about stopping. Only time will tell when that’ll happen.
“In 1994, I didn’t imagine myself playing the 1998 World Cup. In 1998, I didn’t imagine myself playing in 2002 and in 2002, I didn’t imagine myself playing in Germany.”
