Govt announces €9m funding for Irish groups in Britain
11/07/2006 - 07:57:46The Government has announced funding of almost €9m for groups working with the Irish community in Britain.
Minister for Foreign Affairs Dermot Ahern says the money represents a 25% increase on last year's funding and a 100% increase on the amount made available in 2004.
The funding will be shared among 142 organisations that provide support and advisory services for vulnerable Irish people in the UK.
