Wigan reject Hammers' Chimbonda bid
05/07/2006 - 16:44:15Wigan have rejected a substantial bid from West Ham for Pascal Chimbonda, believed to be £4m.
Latics manager Paul Jewell has described the offer as “not enough”, with the club apparently determined to hold out for the £6m they are demanding for the French right-back.
Chimbonda has previously been courted by Tottenham, only for Wigan to turn down offers of £2.5m and £3m from the White Hart Lane club following a shock transfer request on the final day of last season.
