Strong York team for Godolphin
05/07/2006 - 18:22:19Last year’s winner Electrocutionist heads the 39 horses entered for this year’s renewal of Juddmonte International at York on August 22.
He could be joined in the 10-furlong showpiece by eight Godolphin stablemates, including Shawanda and the progressive Librettist, although star mare Ouija Board is a notable absentee.
Aidan O’Brien is unsurprisingly well-represented in the £500,000 heat having also made nine entries.
His potential challengers include Queen Anne hero Ad Valorem, Oaks winner Alexandrova and Dylan Thomas – the emphatic winner of last weekend’s Irish Derby at the Curragh.
David Junior and Sir Percy are two more high-profile names to appear in the entry list at this stage.
