Light winds causing major problems for yacht race

The good weather being enjoyed across Ireland is causing major problems for the 2006 Round Ireland Yacht Race.

The organisers had expected the first vessel to pass the winning line off Wicklow Bay at around 6pm yesterday.

However, light winds have left around one-third of the 39 competitors still struggling to make it to the half-way mark off the coast of Co Mayo.
