Bridgestone granted exclusive F1 rights

05/07/2006 - 14:53:14
Bridgestone have been confirmed as Formula One’s sole tyre manufacturer until 2010.

The Japanese company, who enjoyed their first one-two of the season at Indianapolis last weekend, have been granted exclusive rights to supply Formula One’s 12 teams from 2008 onwards.

Bridgestone’s position was confirmed at a meeting of FIA’s world motorsport council today, where Microsoft were chosen as single suppliers for engine electronic control units.
