Kelly star of the show for Bohs
Waterford United 1 Bohemians 3
John Paul Kelly was the star of the show as Bohemians did the double over bottom side Waterford. Bohs took just ten minutes to take the lead. Kenny Browne fouled Kelly down the right and Kelly’s resultant free kick was powered to the net off the head of big defender Jason McGuinness.
But Blues hit back on 28 minutes when Pole Krystian Lambserski toe-poked past Stephen O’Brien in the Bohs goal.
O’Brien then made good stops from Gavin Doyle and Paul McCarthy before a goalkeeping mistake at the other end by Shane Dunphy gifted Bohs the lead again on 43 minutes.
A fumble by Dunphy gave the ball to Tony Grant who shot against a post before following up to shoot home the rebound. Kelly then fittingly added Bohs clinching third goal with a superb free kick on 62 minutes.
