Palestinian Deputy PM among Hamas officials arrested

The head of Israel’s southern military command confirmed today that Palestinian Deputy Prime Minister Nasser Shaer was among the Hamas officials Israel arrested in an early morning sweep.

There had been conflicting reports about whether Shaer had been arrested.

But Major General Yair Naveh told a news conference that Shaer, too, had been rounded up.
