Stephen Kelly completes Birmingham switch
28/06/2006 - 09:33:12Birmingham have signed Republic of Ireland defender Stephen Kelly from Tottenham for an initial £750,000 rising to a possible £1.25m.
The 22-year-old passed a medical at St Andrews yesterday and has agreed a three-year deal as Blues look to make an immediate return to the top flight after last season’s relegation from the Premiership.
The Coca-Cola Championship club had been linked with the Irishman since the turn of the year and Kelly had admitted he may have to leave White Hart Lane in order to get regular first-team football.
