Kavanagh a doubt for Cats
An injury picked up in training may prevent defender Michael Kavanagh from lining out for Kilkenny in Sunday's Leinster SHC final against Wexford.
The 27-year-old sustained a foot injury during a training session last week and was forced to skip last night's run-out with the Kilkenny squad.
A regular at right corner back, Kavanagh claimed a unique double last month when in the space of 48 hours he won the National League with the Kilkenny hurlers, and a county intermediate championship medal with the St. Lachtain's footballers.
Meanwhile, Carrickshock forward Richie Power should be fit for some involvement against Wexford this weekend.
A leg bone injury has kept him out of action since Kilkenny's League final victory over Limerick, but he started for the Under-21s last week and has returned to training with Brian Cody's senior panel in recent days.
