X-Factor winner Shayne Ward has set himself the goal of selling out Dublin’s Point theatre four nights in a row.

Ward, who boosts three number one chart topping songs, confirmed a fourth concert for the Dublin venue for January 24, 2007.

The 21-year-old pop star’s Irish tour includes six concerts beginning in Dublin’s Point from January 21 to 24 and moving onto Millstreet in Cork on January 26 and 27 next.

“I’m really buzzing about it. Its incredible,” Ward, who worked in a Manchester shoe shop before winning the X Factor, said.

“I was delighted to sell out the first three but the news of yet another one is completely mind-blowing. I first played the Point as past of Childline concert earlier this year – now I’m going back for four nights on my own.”

After winning the television talent contest, his debut single That’s My Goal shot to the number one slot in the Christmas charts, selling more than a million copies.

The song went on to break records for the fastest-selling download in a day.

His self-titled debut album also rocketed to the top of the charts.

Tickets from €38.70 will go on sale on Friday, July 7.
