Kylie: I was supporting Oz
28/06/2006 - 16:26:11Pop singer Kylie Minogue has lashed at reports she and sister Danii abandoned their native Australia to cheer on France in the soccer World Cup.
A British publication quoted Dannii as saying the sisters were supporting France alongside Kylie's French boyfriend Olivier Martinez.
In a message written before the Socceroos were knocked out by Italy on Monday, Kylie pledged her support to the Aussie team.
She fumed: "I am offended by reports in the media claiming that Dannii or I are giving any less than our full support to the Socceroos.
"On the contrary, we have been cheering on our boys in the World Cup. We are right behind you."
