Dazed takes Newbury spoils
27/06/2006 - 21:07:11Dazed And Amazed just prevailed in a thrilling finish to the Listed ladbrokespoker.com Rose Bowl Stakes at Newbury this evening.
Vauquelin tried to make virtually all but started to come under pressure passing the two-furlong pole as Richard Hughes made smooth progress on the eventual winner.
The Richard Hannon-trained 5-1 chance looked set to go on to an easy success but Vauquelin, with the rail to help him, dug deep and there was only a neck separating the pair at the line.
