AA Ladies Championship action hots up

Competition in the AA Insurance Ladies Championship is set to intensify as the Western District approaches the final stages with County Sligo hoping to sweep the board, playing in an impressive five out of six competitions.

The club faces strong opposition from Mountbellew, another key club to watch as they will also be looking to secure a place in the finals of the Singles Intermediate and Minor Cups, and the Junior Foursomes.

All semi-final and final matches will be played on the August 18-19 at Athlone.

Fixtures for the semi-final competitions in the Western District are as follows:

SINGLES

Junior Cup

The following four teams will be competing for a place in the final:

Tuam vs. Galway

Roscommon vs. County Sligo

Intermediate Cup

The following clubs will be in contention on 18th - 19th August:

County Sligo vs. Mountbellew

Carrick-on-Shannon vs. Ballinarobe

Challenge Cup

The four teams teeing off on the 18th - 19th August for a place in the finals are as follows:

Oughterard vs. Curra West

Tubercurry vs. Claremorris

Minor Cup

The winners from the following semi-final competitions held on the 18th - 19th August will secure a place in the final:

County Sligo vs. Galway Bay

Donegal vs. Mountbellew
