Louth bring in Finnegan
Ray Finnegan has been drafted into the Louth line-up for tomorrow's All-Ireland SFC first round qualifier replay against Tyrone (Omagh, throw-in 3.30pm).
The St Patrick's sharpshooter has been named at full-forward in a direct swap for Ronan Carroll. The roles were reversed in last weekend's drawn game when Carroll was replaced by Finnegan, who slotted over a point, 27 minutes into the fray in Navan.
Experienced forward Aaron Hoey is still sidelined following a knee cartilage operation. He injured his knee whilst playing for his club St. Bride's last month. Although some encouraging form in training this week has seen the 28-year-old included amongst the substitute by Louth boss Eamonn McEneaney.
LOUTH (SFC v Tyrone) - S Reynolds; D Brennan, C Goss, J Carr; J O’Brien, P McGinnity, J Neary; M Farrelly, P Keenan; M Stanfield, M Brennan, C Grimes; JP Rooney, R Finnegan, D Clarke.
