Cowen opens Georgia Tech Ireland centre in Athlone
21/06/2006 - 11:53:26Finance Minister Brian Cowen has opened a new research and technology centre in Athlone.
Georgia Tech Ireland, which is part of the well-known Georgia Tech Research Institute in the US, is establishing the centre at the IDA business park in the town.
50 qualified researchers will eventually be employed at the facility, which will conduct research in collaboration with Irish industries.
