Limerick County Board to discuss McKenna resignation

The Limerick County Board is due to meet this evening to discuss the fall-out from the sudden resignation of the county's senior hurling manager at the weekend.

Following a meeting of the executive last night, the indications are that it will not rush to appoint a permanent successor to Joe McKenna.

An interim manager is expected to fill the role for Limerick's clash with Offaly in the next round of qualifiers at the beginning of July.
