Martin welcomes success of Enterprise Ireland companies
Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Micheál Martin today welcomed the findings of Enterprise Ireland’s annual report, which showed a €1.275bn increase in exports.
The organisation, which helps Irish companies to compete in global markets, said the food sector enjoyed the largest increase, with its exports increasing in value by 7%.
“Enterprise Ireland client companies are well on the way to achieving the target of €3bn new export sales by year end 2007,” said Martin.
“Similarly, substantial progress has been made in relation to R&D targets, and productivity and competitiveness.
“The remarkable growth in the last year reflects the ability of Enterprise Ireland and their client companies to adapt to changing market conditions where competition in quality and service is vital.”
