Seward suffers suspected heart attack

Chris Seward, travelling head lad to trainer Derek Haydn Jones, has been taken to hospital after suffering a suspected heart attack at Nottingham.

He collapsed while saddling Silvabella for the visitnottingham.com Maiden Stakes. He was taken to the Queen’s Medical Centre.

Silvabella was withdrawn as was Chia, Haydn Jones’s runner in the concluding Bingham Handicap.

“He was saddling the horse up and had a heart attack,” said Haydn Jones.
