Second man arrested after Louth death
16/06/2006 - 10:13:42Gardaí in Co Louth have arrested two men following a suspicious overnight death in the town of Dundalk.
The arrests were made in the early hours after gardaí were called to a house at Woodview Terrace on the Castletown Road, where they found the body of a man in his 40s who had suffered multiple injuries.
A 37-year-old man was detained at around 3.30am, while a 36-year-old was arrested at 5am.
Both arrests are understood to have taken place in Dundalk town centre.
Gardaí say they are treating the death as suspicious and the area has been sealed off for technical examination.
A post mortem will also be carried out later today.
