Fry quits British TV show

16/06/2006 - 12:14:19
Wilde star Stephen Fry has walked away from a script for cult sci-fi show Doctor Who, insisting he is too busy to pen a plot.

The British funnyman, actor and author had promised to write an episode featuring the time traveller and his battles against a villainous knight in the age of mythical hero King Arthur

But the 50-year-old maintains time constraints forbid him from taking on the venture.

He says: "Unfortunately I've had to pull out of the Doctor Who gig. Lack of time. I couldn't find three minutes to string together. There's barely enough time to go to the lavatory these days, let alone take on new projects."
